Portable solar

Portable solar options come in a variety of styles to suit a variety of needs. Many portable items exist which make use of solar technology to fulfill their purposes. For instance, a variety of solar powered handheld lights can charge during the day for nightly use.

Perhaps the most useful options are portable solar panels. These can be used to charge or power a variety of electronics, from MP3 players to laptops to speaker systems. Panels may fold-up, roll-up, or be built into such things as bags or clothing.

Portable solar options do not necessarily involve creating electricity. Some exist simply to harness heat. An example of this is a portable solar shower, which can be taken on camping trips to provide a nice hot shower regardless of location. Another example is a portable solar oven which can heat food through the concentration of solar thermal energy.
